BRISBANE, Australia, October 15, 2020 – As part of its ongoing commitment to sovereign defence capability, Insitu Pacific has assembled a significant team of more than 20 suppliers including small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) under its proposal to the Australian Army for LAND 129 Phase 3.
Insitu Pacific’s strong line-up of Australian partners and SMEs is focused on critical capabilities for unmanned aerial system (UAS) growth and sustainability through the life of the system, including advanced materials and propulsion, sensing and software, and seamless integration with existing and planned Australian Defence Force systems.
“These are the key local areas of expertise that will provide Army with a reliable, robust and fully integrated system today, and a cutting-edge sovereign upgrade path,” Andrew Duggan, Managing Director, Insitu Pacific said.

“Insitu Pacific’s proposal will deliver significant value for money enabling responsive and cost effective through-life support, while providing market ready export opportunities through the global Insitu and Boeing supply chains,” Duggan said. “Our proposal not only supports the growth of businesses directly on our team, but also benefits their own respective ecosystems of Australian suppliers.”
A strong background in core Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) capability as well as future innovation is also key to Insitu Pacific’s local team, with support from Boeing’s Australian capability.
Boeing Defence Australia will provide ILS support and integration lessons learned with Army through the Currawong Battlespace Communications System, and Boeing Australia’s research and development work in One to Many Control, machine learning, and Detect and Avoid (DAA) technologies are being integrated into the future roadmap.

As well as internal investment in autonomous systems in Australia, Insitu Pacific has been partnering with local Australian small-to-medium enterprises and universities to design and field innovative UAS technologies since its establishment in Brisbane in 2009.
